My company has a letterhead with a graphic logo that we use in MS Word 2002. It looks fine on the screen and in print, but when I convert a letter into PDF the company logo comes out looking very choppy.

Can someone please help me figure out how to convert letters to PDF and keep the graphic quality of my logo clean? I have Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Professional.

The graphic logo was put into the Word document by hitting Insert -> Picture -> From File.

Some things to think about and check.

Does the image have a high enough resolution and quality?

Check the PDF conversion settings in Word if you can (I know you can do this in Word 2003) to make sure the image quality is set to a high enough dpi and quality. It could be that is where the problem lies. If this is right Word uses Distiller settings to make the PDF file.
