Help with XML PDF creation

I am attempting to create a PDF form that when opened in Reader is prepopulated with data from an XML file. I am using LiveCycle Designer and it works fine in the preview tab of designer (ie: the correct data is displayed on the form) but once the form is saved and viewed in either Pro or Reader the data does not auto populate the form.

Do i have to call the XML on load, or do anything to get it to work outside of LIveCycle?? Any help would be much appreciated.

The prepopulated data you see in the preview window of Designer is for testing only. The data doesn't load either in Acrobat or Reader.

You are right on track about calling the XML on load. You might also add an import file button to your form.
