Hello

In the Scanner Options window I cannot choose to Hide Scanner's Native Interface - it is greyed out. If I choose no scanner in the Acrobat Scan window and then choose my scanner again it says "WIA Scanner Drive might face problems using Hide Scanner's Native Interface' mode. Switching to 'Show Scanner's Native Interface' mode.

I have just changed from using Paperport 10 software to Acrobat. In Paperport I had no problems in hiding the Scanner's Native Interface. It makes scanning documents a whole lot quicker and simpler.

How do I get to hide the Scanner's Native Interface in Acrobat?

Regards,
Anthony

If the option for hiding the Scanner's Native Interface is not there, you might want to check with your scanner developer to see if an upgraded plug-in is offered. If you can't get an upgrade, then your best option might be to scan documents first using Photoshop or the native scanner software, then open the files in Acrobat to use Recognize Text Using OCR.

I've been using Acrobat Professional 7.0 with my Dell All-In-One 962 automatic document feeder to scan multiple-page duplexed documents for several years now. First I would scan the front side of all papers, then I would be prompted to flip the stack of papers and scan the back sides. Acrobat would then assemble the images from 1-3-5-7-9---10-8-6-4-2 into the correct order.

Acrobat is no longer using my Dell scanner interface, but isntead its own scanner interface. Strangely, the Acrobat scanner interface will not scan multiple page documents at all.

How do I change Acrobat back to using the Dell scanner interface? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Kind regards!

I've got the same issue - I'm unable to use the Native Interface unless I perform a custom scan within Adobe Pro 9. I am able to select the Native interface in other programs(Omnipage15 and Adobe Photoshop CS4).
