hiding text boxes

i created a document from powerpoint with text and images
 
when i converted it to .pdf, every time i move the cursor across one of the images, a text box appears
 
this happens in both reader and pro
 
how do i prevent this fom happening?

Can you send a file to me to help us try to run down the problem here? This sounds strange unless you're clicking with the Hand tool when your Preferences are set to select images before text in which case you should see a slected graphic and not a text box.

Thanks for sending me the file. There's nothing irregular about the PDF generated from the PDFMaker in PowerPoint. Dragging the cursor across objects on a PDF page can select text or images depending on the preference options for the Hand tool behavior in the General Preferences. Open the Preferences and remove checkmarks where you see "Make Hand tool..." there are 4 checkboxes that control Hand tool behavior. Turn them all off.
