I'm using Acrobat Standard v8 and Word 200, on Win XP.
PDFMaker and Distiller ignore highlighted text in Word for some reason - even though the highlighted text prints out on my printer. So I have to go through the resulting PDF re-highlighting all of the highlighted text, which in a 170 page report containing nearly 100 highlights is a nightmare. Is there any commercially available alternative to PDFMaker that can automatically convert highlighted text in Word to highlighted text in the resulting PDF (as well as doing all the things that PDFMaker does do well)?

Do you have the Adobe PDF printer set as the default when you create the PDF from Word? Also, the Adobe PDF printer uses the printing options you specify in the Word Options or Print dialog box so make sure all the Options under the Print menu in Word are selected.
