I have hundreds of multipage pdf documents that I would like to save out as jpg's files.
I know I can convert them individually but if anyone knows a program that could do this for me automatically that would be great

You could do it with batch processing (Actions in Acrobat X) but they're only available in Acrobat Pro, not Standard.
Another option would be to install a virtual printer which can save to JPG, and "print" all your files from Windows Explorer. Lots out there, many free - Google for "virtual image printer" and take your pick.
