Answered

I want to combine several images into one pdf file. The images come in pairs -- the front and back of an item. So I want to put the 2 images of an item on the same page.

How do I do that? And can I specify how I want the those 2 images arranged on the page -- i.e. left-right OR top-bottom ??

TIA

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 10.1, Windows

Open a PDF with Acrobat Professional.
Prior to Acrobat X you'd use the TouchUp Object tool.
With Acrobat X you'd use the Edit Object tool (on the Content panel under the Tools pane).
With the Edit Object tool selected move the cursor to the PDF.
Right Click and select "Place Image".
Browse to and select an image file; click Open.
The image file is placed in the PDF.
Size and postion as desired.
Repeat for the second image.

Thanks for the response. I need a little more help.

1. I cropped my images in order to be "placed" on a pdf page. I can move the image to position the image. But how do I size it -- I want to make it smaller so that I can put two images on the same page.

2. My original image has some background stuff. Originally, I launched Acrobat and start a new file by inserting a blank page. I then did the "place image". I thought acrobat cut off part of my image. After zooming out to approx. 25%, I see a big oblong box with light blue outline -- with my image in the middle of that blue box, taking up may be 1/6 of the space. After much trial & error, I found that the blue box is much larger than a regular page; and the "small" image size is about 8.5" x 11". That explains why I don't the whole image at once. Before I posted the original question, I had Created a file with those [original] images all combined into one pdf file -- each image on a separate page. I can see the entire image on each page. Also, if I insert a blank page in this file and "place image", I can see the entire image. So why is the result different than when I place that same image in a new file? Is there a way I can do it so that I can see the entire image at once after I placed the image in a new pdf file?

3. Can I move an image from one pdf page to another page in the same pdf file -- AND also resize the image? If yes, how?

TIA

To size:
The image placed on the PDF page will have a bounding box with small squares at each of the four corners.
Place the cursor on one to get the double headed area; then click-drag to size. Put cursor into image to get the change the cursor icon so you can click-drag to position.

To move a selected image from page to page:
If on adjacent pages (i.e., 1-2)go to a side-by-side page view and a zoom below 100% such that you see both pages. Use the TouchUp Object/Edit Object tool to positon a selected image to the adjacent page.
It can be a bit awkward but it is doable.

You may want to use Acrobat to export the images/graphics to individual image files.
You could then use TouchUp Object/Edit Object tool to "place image" on a page of a new PDF.
