How to turn off Pages Panel

After I scan a document in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, a panel pops on to the screen titled "pages". I do not need this panel. I just scan a document and save it. Thus, everytime I scan a document, i end closing this "Pages navigation panel". It is just an added step over and over and over again.
 
Is there someway to turn this pages panel off?

This is an automatic action to show you the pages that have just been scanned. I don't think there is anything you can do about it.
