Using Acrobat 9.4.4 pro on a MacBook pro with Mac OS X 10.6.7:

1. All is working fine, when I print a file.doc from WORD to PDF.

2. But when I try to do a batch conversion from Acrobat: File/Create pdf …
the doc files stay greyed out, whatever I select under filetype.

3. I can drag the doc files and drop them into the converting window from Acrobat.
But starting the conversion will lead to an error message "Cannot open file##.doc"

What is wrong - which settings have to be changed??

Thanx 4 help & support!
Chris

The last Acrobat PDFMaker to support Mac Office was with Acrobat 8 (for Office X and Office 2004).
.
See the PDFMaker Compatibility Matrix.
.
You can use Adobe Printer to print to PDF. However, the "Convert to PDF" process taps into PDFMaker which isn't available to you on your Mac.
.

Be well...
