Hyperlinks Not Working

I create two PDF's from the same InDesign2 document, which is 8 pages (13x22"), one for Press Ready (approx. 12-14mb) and one to post on our website (approx. 2mb). The Press Ready page's hyperlinks work throughout the document when opened in either Acrobat Pro or Reader. Most of the text is imported from MS Word documents which have the hyperlink already set in the document without incident. The web version, using the setting, Smallest, creates a pdf but the hyperlinks don't work. Any ideas about settings or other issues would be welcome.
Thanks.

Firstly, InDesign will only create actual links if you export with PDF 1.5 and above. Secondly, Acrobat 7 and 8 will read all text in a PDF even if there are not any real links as such.

What PDF export version are you using and what version of Acrobat are you testing?

I've been using Acrobat since v1.0 and still get amazed by its power. An Acrobat ACE since 1999

Hi,
I'm not at the machine I do this with right now, but probably 1.4 for Acrobat 5. Since you've mentioned it, I will try bumping it up to a later version and see.
Thanks.
