It sounds like others have had this problem but I have yet to see a viable explanation/ solution here or on the AutoCAD website.

Problem: When printing to Adobe PDF from AutoCAD 2008 LT raster images show up in the print preview but not in the actual print file. I've upgraded Acrobat 8 Pro to the trial version of Acrobat 9 to see if it would make a difference but no luck. Any thoughts??

How are you creating the PDF? Using the PDFMaker macro or printing to PDF?

FYI - The PDFMaker macro doesn't support AutoCAD 2008 LT.

Printing to PDF. I've done this for many years using previous versions of CAD with no problems. I recently began using AutoCAD 2008 LT and have since had problems getting the raster images in my sheets to print. Some will and some won't even though they show up fine in the print preview.

Have you ever tried printing your file to a Postscript file and then running it through Distiller?

Do you have Edit > Preferences > Page Display category "Show Large Images" checked?Another post mentioned unchecking "Optimize for Fast Web View" in the Adobe PDF Printer settings.

Try installing SP1 for AutoCAD 2008 LT.

I finally got a spare moment to install the service pack. It worked! I reprinted the same sheets that were giving me problems and the images all printed. Thank you very much for your help!
