Hi, I'm new on this forum and this is my first post.
I've searched your archive for an answer to my problem before asking but I haven't found what I really needed..
I also have to admit that I'm totally new to Acrobat, so my questions will be maybe obvious..but I have to start from somewhere.

I'm creating an ebook and I need to insert columns of text next to pictures or videos, etc.
what's the best way according to you?
now my solution is to create text boxes with the "text box tool" but I have an annoying pop-up appearing when I pass over with the mouse.. there's a way to avoid the pop-up?

if I'ld write in microsoft word my text, then is it possible to move columns and text as I like inside my pdf after I have converted it?

thanks for your tips and your time :)

Hi --

Acrobat isn't a document layout or processing program, so you are better off building the structure for the file in Word. That way you aren't trying to insert the content on the page as text boxes, which are a form of comment. The popups aren't meant to be annoying -- they are doing what they are supposed to do!

You didn't specify what version of Acrobat you are working with -- if you are using Acrobat 8 you can start a new document.

I think I'd experiment with using a table in Word having 2 columns, placing the text in the left column, and inserting the images in the right column. You can add the movies in Acrobat, and certainly can move text in Acrobat.

thanks a lot!

yes, you're right.. I guess the best way is to write everything on Word and then convert.
about moving the text in acrobat, how would you do that? I know I can select what I want to modify and move with that tool I use also for pictures..from the advanced editing.. uff, I can't remember the name now and I'm on linux at the moment so I can't take a look. well, nevermind, how would you move the text that I have converted from Word?

thanks again for your suggestions and your time
