Inverted Black & white when scanning

I have Windows Vista, and Acrobat 9.3.2, and my scanner is HP 1220. The image looks right in the little scanning window, but when it displays in the program after the scan, the image is inverted with white being black and the black print being white. I have checked the invert box in the printing options and it makes no difference whether the box is checked or not.

What can I do to get the scans to display properly?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.3.1, Windows

Have you tried rescanning after you checked the invert box in the Scanner Options? Does this happen with other applications or just Acrobat?

I have tried to scan both with the invert box checked and not checked, with the same inverted result. It used to work fine with the earlier version of Acrobat, but not now after I upgraded to Acrobat 9.

I need a fix or I will have to revert back to the earlier version.

Thanks, Sharon

Have you changed anything else in your setup since the earlier version of Acrobat (i.e., OS changes, etc.)? If so, make sure you have the most recent driver for your scanner. Also, try creating a new Windows user profile (if you can) to see if this clears up the problem.
