laaaaarge PDF's smaller?

I have some PDF-files, sized between 5 to 45 Mb. I'd like to make them OCR, but the size will get very, very large, and those files are met to look via web. What can I do?

Acrobat Pro 9.2, Windows

Hi tribuuni,

Do some testing on one of your PDFs ( make a backup copy first) with the Optimizer in Acrobat (under the Advacned menu). It is your best bet for getting the smallest file size.

Hi!
Tried that but after making OCR and then using Optimizer will crash the Acrobat software(!!??)
