Margin compression

I converted a Word document from .doc to .pdf. The margins in Word are .6 in. side and .7 in. top and bottom. Photos are imbedded in the text, within the margins I set. The Word document prints with the margins I set. The .pdf document prints about .8 in. sides and .95 in. top and bottom margins. Both are on the same printer. I've tried various settings in Acrobat and converted the file again several times, but nothing allows the correct margins in the .pdf file.

Format your file in Word for the Adobe PDF Printer or a PostScript printer and view the document with Print Preview. What you see in the Print Preview should be the same view you see in Acrobat after the conversion to PDF using the same printer driver.

Ted:

Thanks. I'm not a ditz on this stuff, but I don't know how to format for the PDF or PostScript Printer. I have one printer connected to this computer and it is the printer that shows up in Word and in Acrobat 8 Pro (HP 1220C). When I print from Word the printed document has the margins I set in Word: .6 sides and .7 top and bottom. When I convert to PDF it increases the margins and prints them at the increased size.
