Missing bookmarks

Use adobe menu in Word2000(sp3)to convert doc file into pdf file using adobe acrobat 6.0.
 
Completed pdf shows bookmarks in acrobat 6.0, no bookmarks appear in adobe reader 5.10
 
Bookmarks also appear in foxit reader.
 
How can I fix this?

Are you really using version 6.0, or have you applied the patches to 6.0.5?

What about updating that copy of Reader from 5.1 to something newer?
