Missing links in PDF after converting PowerPoint 2003 presentation

Converting a Powerpoint 2003 presentation to PDF using Acrobat Professional 7. The PPT has links to web sites and PDFs on our sharepoint site. Tested the links in the PPT in Slide Show mode. All of the links work. When the PPT is converted to PDF using the PDF maker toolbar button, some of the links do not work. Is there some setting that we've missed? If Acrobat can't convert office documents with the links active, we may need to look at another solution for our 1,200+ Acrobat users. Our workstations are running Windows XP SP2 with Office 2003 SP.

You mentioned "SOME of the links do not work".

This would indicate to me that some of the link codes are not written in the correct syntax.

All of the links work in PowerPoint while in slide show mode. When I open the PDF in Acrobat and use the Link Tool, the URL in the hyperlink comes up. I click on OK, the link then works in the PDF without making any changes to the syntax. I've been reading postings on Adobe's site in the forums where people are stating that this is a bug and that Adobe should look at it. Is that true? Looks like there are a lot of people having problems with hyperlinks in office documents once they are converted to PDFs.
