MS Access Report to PDF

We have an MS Access 2003 application with several reports. Sometimes when printing to the Adobe PDF printer we get a fatal MS Access error "Microsoft Access has encountered a problem and needs to close..." The error happens immediately after selecting the Adobe PDF printer, we do not get to the point where we selected the path for the file. We do not get the error when printing to a (hardware) printer. We are using Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard. This is an intermittant problem. Thank you.

Hi aboughto,

Is the Adobe PDF printer a shared printer? If so, try setting it up so that the printer is not shared. Or, set the PDF printer as the default printer prior to creating the PDFs. Does this same error occur when using the PDFMaker macro in Access?
You might also check the Microsoft forums since the error occurs while in MS Access.

Hope this helps,
Lori
