Need Help converting from Word

Maybe I'm making this harder than it is but I am having a tough time figuring out how to maintain our Employee Manual in Word.

I set up the bookmarks manually in the PDF document but this won't work because I want to be able to make changes in the Word document then convert to PDF while keeping the bookmarks.

I have Adobe Acrobat Standard 6.0. Can I even do it with this? I'm not even sure I have PDFMaker??????

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Acrobat Standard 8.1.2, Windows

Hi --

You need to use destinations rather than simple bookmarks in the PDF files. A destination defines a specific location in a specific file, rather than a simple link to a page which might change as you make changes to your source files.

When you make changes to update the files, use the Replace Pages feature in Acrobat to replace the content without affecting the overlying links and other content you may have added in Acrobat.

And yes, Acrobat 6 does include PDFMakers. If you see an Adobe menu in the Word menu, or the Adobe PDF toolbar, the PDFMaker is installed.
