No audio in pdf'ed powerpoint files

Hi,

I've just upgraded to Acrobat X Pro (10.0.0) and have found that when I create pdfs from Powerpoint 2007 files that contain linked narrations, the audio does not carry over to the pdf. The little speaker icon is there in the pdf, but it is not linked to any audio.

This was not an issue before the Acrobat 10 upgrade when I was running Acrobat 9.4.0. I have not changed any settings in Create Adobe PDF | Preferences; everything is at their default values. Is there something that must be set to ensure that the narration/audio gets pdf'ed correctly? Or is this a known issue that will be fixed with the next update?

Thanks!
Steve

I'm having the same issue. I can't seem to find anything on the adobe site that could answer this question.

You need to add the media clip in Acrobat, it is not part of the conversion process.

Thanks George. I am aware of this solution but was hoping to avoid the extra work, especially since Acrobat 9 had no problem with converting audio from powerpoint to the pdf.

I may have to go back to 9 if this is a limitation in 10.
