Opening file error when following hyperlink from Office 2007

I have a client who has Office 2007, running Vista. I sent her a Word 2007 document with a hyperlink to a PDF file I created using Acrobat 8.1.4. When she clicks on the link, she receives a MS Word messages, "No program is registered to open this file". However, if she goes to the PDF through windows explorer to open it, it opens fine with her Adobe Reader. Any ideas? If she downloads the Adobe Add-in for Office 2007, will this fix it?
