Optimized files are Larger, not smaller

When I run an eported pdf file from InDesign the file is 128 KB. After optimizing it to the fullest amount, the file shoots up to 436 KB. The largest differences are in the Color Spaces (from 53 to 365,891) and Cross REference Table (from 1,380 to 30,607) Others got larger also, but these are the main culprit.

How do I understand this.

Hi Rick,

There are certain options under optimisation which do add file size. One example might be the fast-web-view option which prepares the file for faster downloading through your web browser on the web (page one first and then it downloads the rest of the document in single page chunks).

Are you using the default option or clicking around in there?

Best regards,

Jon
