Page margins in PDF do not mirror Word margins

I have a 75-page document in Word that ends up as a 78 page doc in PDF. With small page documents, the page margins remain the same. What can I do to keep the margins the same?

Word 2003
AdobeAcrobat 6.0

Acrobat Pro 6.0, Windows

The number of pages in a word document depend on the printer chosen and it's resolution. One quite way out is to close Word, change your default printer to Adobe PDF printer and then open your document. You should see the same number of pages in PDF as in Word.

Thank you so much for your quick response!

I had to revise my Word doc but at least I could see what I'd eventually get in PDF format. Next time, I'll select the PDF printer as default before finalizing the Word doc.
