Hi
I am producing PDFs from Word and Visio 2000 with Acrobat 7.0 standard where everything is fine except ‘Fill Patterns’. I have tired changing various setting but they always appear very course as if they are low resolution (I have used most export resolutions including 4000DPI). If I try Acrobat 5 on another PC (both Windows 2k) there are no problems.
Please advise what I need to change in Acrobat 7.09 which is the latest version or is there a bug fix?
UPDATE:-
I have now found that when I reinstalled just the print drivers from version 5 these patterns are now correct! So what are the advantages of ‘Adobe PDF’ over ‘Acrobat PDFWriter’?
Leonard Rosenthol did reply to my original question with – “What setting do you have selected?” but my reply has never been answered. Also if you search for this topic its not found.

Reinstalling the print drivers would have been my suggestion for correcting your problem, although I wouldn't have specified the Acrobat 5 print driver. Your original problem seemed to be a driver issue.
When in doubt, I always recommend repairing the installation. Choose Help > Repair Acrobat Installation to let the program check through the installed components and repair anything that is corrupt. The Adobe PDF Print driver is an upgrade from the old PDFWriter.
