PDF Bookmarks open by default in browser

Hello.

The problem I'm having is getting Bookmarks to open by default when opening a PDF through a browser. (PDF is opened via a URL)

The PDF bookmarks open by default in Acrobat and Reader after I set that option, but when the PDF is uploaded to my website they don't open. Is there a way to get them to open by default in a browser as well? (this way the site users will be able to see the bookmarks, which is helpful since some people may not know how to use bookmarks)

Thanks for the help!

Have you tried setting the PDF's open options using the 'File => Propertires'?

Yes. And when opening the PDF in Acrobat or Reader, the bookmarks open on "Initial View" of the pdf. Just not with the browser.

The only way to really do this is to force the linked PDF to open in Reader or Acrobat instead of the browser. This way the bookmarks panel will always be open.

To do this, you'll need to change the link properties of the webpage that the PDF is on.

Firefox. At the time of this post, whatever the latest version of Firefox was. (I believe 3.5)

Are you using any add-ons to Firefox?

I have an Acrobat plugin that I believe was installed automatically when I downloaded Adobe Reader. (for testing PDFs)

Is this Reader 9 or an earlier version?
