PDF closes when clicking on a hyperlink

I created a PDF from a Word 2007 document with hyperlinks. Anytime I click on a link, it closes the PDF document (does not stay opened) If I need to click on multiple links, I have to reopen the PDF document for each link. This happens in IE 7 & 8 (works fine in FireFox)

Please help...

Rob

Under Edit > Preferences > Internet Category do you have "Display in Browser" checked? Also, under the Document Category do you have "Open cross-document links in the same window" deselected?

Yes and Yes. I did not think to bother with the Preferences because they are not document related changes, but tool related changes. Any other thoughts about my issue? Thanks in advance for your help.....

Do you have both Reader and Acrobat installed on you system? Are all your plug-ins enabled in IE7? Internet Explorer 7 allows you disable individual add-ons, and it has a ‘Reset’ button (available from the Tools, Internet Options menu, under the Advanced Tab) that disables all Add ons. By disabling the Adobe add-ons, some PDF-related functionality may no longer work.
