PDF Conversion Requires Administrator Privileges????

I've been working on trying to resolve this issue for a couple of weeks. I work for a company that has a locked down environment. I've been trying to install Acrobat Standard 8.0 and have been encountering issues when converting files to PDF. I've provided full permissions to all the files, directories, and registry keys that were included in the installer. Still no luck. The only way I can get it to work is to provide the user account admin privileges, do a PDF file conversion, then remove the admin privileges. I ran several monitoring applications to see what files are encountering the issues. I've provided full permissions to all of them. Still no luck. Help please!!!!!

PS I have to install this to over 300 regular users. I can't provide them all Admin privileges.

Is your lock down environment using WTS? If so, there is a known issue of the following:

"If the Enable Advanced Printing Features check box is selected in the Adobe PDF Printer, printing to the Adobe PDF Printer will fail. Please clear this check box. To do so, open Printers and Faxes in Control Panel. Then, right-click Adobe PDF Printer, and choose Properties. On the Advanced tab, clear the Enable Advanced Printing Features check box, and then click OK."
