PDF created but displays behind AutoCAD

Here's what I am using:

AutoCAD 2007 ADT (also other 2007, 2009, 2010 AutoCAD products with same results)
Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Professional
Windows XP SP3

Here is my question/problem:

My company has started going to Acrobat 9.0 Professional for our AutoCAD users. When we create a PDF file using various versions of AutoCAD the PDF file does not automatically display. Instead the PDF button blinks at the bottom of the screen and the PDF is displayed behind or under the AutoCAD file that is open. When we were using Acrobat 7.0 Professional with the same machines and software, the PDF file would display over or on top off the open AutoCAD file. What is causing the difference in the display of the PDF file?

Things I have tried:

As before we started using Acrobat 9.0 Pro, I have Distiller set to "View PDF when using Distiller".
In Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Pro I tried both of the following "Preferences" in combination with the Distiller setting:

Under "Full Screen" unchecking "Alert when document requests full screen"
Under "Full Screen Transitions" checking "Ignore all transitions"

Neither made any difference. The PDF file is still displayed behind the open AutoCAD file.

Any answers???

This is not a big deal but my users are used to the PDF being visible as soon as they make it and are wondering how to "fix" it so that it does again.

Thanks for any help in advance!!!

Still having the same or similar troubles. We are gradually all upgrading to Acrobat 9.3.2 and my company is now using from AutoCAD 2007 through 2011 depending on the project. We are all using Windows XP w/SP3. As stated in the last post, I have Acrobat Distiller set to "View PDF when using Distiller".

I now have another user who's AutoCAD 2007 Civil 3D does not either display the completed pdf file or show it in the taskbar. You must go to explorer and open the pdf file from there.

On the same machine his AutoCAD 2010 Civil 3D displays the request for the new pdf's name behind the open drawing file. You must pick it in the taskbar to open it and type in the new name. Once this is done it creates the new pdf but does not display it. You have to pick it in the taskbar to open the pdf for viewing.

His newly installed AutoCAD 2011 Civil 3D acts much the same as 2010 only it does display the dialogue box for the name of the new pdf in front of the drawing file. You still have to pick it in the taskbar to open it for viewing.

This has become even more frustrating for users who were once used to automatically seeing the new pdf file open up on screen after creation. Myself included for not having any answers as to why...
