PDF Creation Color Management

I have photos edited on my profiled monitor saved in TIFF format. I have used acrobat to create a PDF file of several. I am trying to show the PDF file in a presentation using a laptop and projector. The projector image isn't even close to what was on my monitor. Is there any way to improve the presentation?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8.1.7, Windows

How do the PDF images look on your monitor?

Just me nattering here; but, the significant variable appears to be the projector being used.
How it processes the input provided and its optics are what dictates what is seen.
Also, what the projector's image is displayed on can be significant (a pull down screen is always better than a bed sheet ).

Be well...
