PDF Creation from PPT 2003 extremely slow

Hello all

I have a number of users that are complaining that it takes extremely long when they create a PDF (Acrobat 8.0 Std) from an existing PPT (PowerPoint 2003) presentation.

Any ideas why it takes so long to create PDFs from PPT?
(It takes roughly one minute or more per slide!)

Many thanks in advance for your answers!

Regards
Thomas.

It depends on the complexity of the slide and how fast Powerpoint can print. Typically, files with gradients, transparency take longer.

Thanks for the answer.

It doesn't seem to matter what is on the pages. Most pages are pure text and it still takes roughly one minute per slide to create the PDF.

If you use a free software like 'PDF creator' the whole presentation is finished in seconds.

This seems to have started with version 8 of Acrobat and was not the case before.
