PDF Creation from Word 2003 Template (w/ Macros)

Hi folks! Newbie here, looking forward to contributing to the community.

I recently started a job where I have to maintain documents that are based on a Word 2003 (.dot) template that uses a number of macros. One such macro replaces text automatically upon the use of a print command (the word "Controlled" is replaced with "Non-controlled").

Anyway, this macro is triggered during PDF creation (I use Word 2007, so I'm working with these documents in Compatibility Mode and am using an Acrobat Word 2007 plug-in).

Any ideas as to how I can create a PDF of documents based on such a template without generating this "Non-controlled" text?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.0, Windows

Have you considered using Redaction to replace the 'Non-controlled' with 'Controlled'?

Or redact the 'Non-controlled' and insert a form field in it's place.

No, I hadn't considered using Redaction...that's a good thought. I'll test it out and see how it works. Thanks for the quick reply and for the useful tip!
