I am attempting to create a pdf document that has both extended features (enabling sticky notes and fields) into a saveable pdf document but also want to have the ability to search the pdf. This appears to be a one function or the other option. Please advise if there is something that I am missing that will allow for both functions.

Thank you.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.4, Windows

Hi pjacobso,

I'm able to search a Reader Enabled PDF, i.e., one with extended features. I can comment on, fill in fields, save and search in Adobe Reader). What is happening to make you think it does not work? Please provide more details on the steps you took and what error messages or features that did not work for you.

Hope this helps,

Dimitri

This is my procedure and you can hopefully tell me if I am missing a step.
- Word 2007 - publish as pdf (Due to certain template functions I cannot open the word doc into Acrobat)
- Open pdf in Acrobat and create form
- Add extended features
- Create form and add fields, close

When I open the document in reader the fields are available, I can save data, add sticky notes etc.; however, when I search the document only the headers and footers are included in the search. It is not able to search the contents of the document body.

I'm sure there is a simple step I am missing, just dont know what.

Thanks for your help.
