does anyone know what is the limit of the PDF file size, how many attachments it can contain and what is the largest single attachment possible?
Thanks in advance

I am not sure if this what you are asking... If you are trying to email your pdf with attachments, most of the time the total of the attachments along with the pdf should not exceed 5MB, otherwise your email program will either keep returning you the email or say that it sent it but it will never reach its destination.
Hope this answer helps. Otherwise please explain better.
PDF has an architectural limit of about 10GB. See the PDF Reference at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/pdf/pdf_reference.php for more information, Appendix C and H in particular.
