Standard 7.0 - sometimes PDFMaker works fine but sometimes it won't convert .doc (or .ppt) files to .pdf...it stops with the message:

Missing pdfmaker files
Do you want to run in repair mode?

or:

missing pdfmaker files
Do you want to reconfigure?

We've tried yes and no to all of the above and it didn't solve the problem but trying again later sometimes works again.

Why is this issue so inconsistant?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 7.0.0, Windows

Try running the Acrobat repair (Help > Repair Acrobat Installation). This command will often fix problems with the PDFMaker.ted

According to my users, they have tried the repair and then re-run their conversion, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
I tried File, Create PDF, From multiple files myself using 3 different file formats - one particular .ppt I was never able to convert (it just hung). I also tried converting to PDF from Powerpoint - once the print hung and once the file was successfully converted - seems to very inconsistant.
Was hoping to hear that this was a know issue with version 7.0 and 8.0 seems to take care of this.
