PowerPoint features to PDF

What features from PowerPoint will convert to PDF? Transitions? Sounds? Animations? Movies? Hyperlinks?

Is it different for Mac and Windows, and are there any particular settings in Distiller we need to be aware of?

Our large school district supports both platforms.

You can convert slide presentations to PDF using the PDFMaker on Windows. On thhe Mac, PowerPoint to PDF is very poor. Your best bet is to take a PDF created on the Mac and export it to PDF on a Windows machine.

Unfortunately, most of the transition effects and animations don't translate properly. You might try exporting a slide presentation to PDF then add hyperlinks and animations in Acrobat.
