printing from excel to pdf - new problem

I work in the real estate world where I must prepare real estate closing statements and I have a very fine form that I have used for the past year or more. The form is in excel 2000 and I use acrobat 6.0 Pro. These forms are "legal" page size (8.5 x 14) and I have had no problem bring up the print to pdf and creating the legal size pdf.

Just this week, when I print to pdf (a legal size document) approximately 3/4 of the way down the page...the page becomes "blank". However, it appears that maybe the "footer" may print. So I get a normal looking top and 3/4 of the way down, even if mid "cell", the rest of the page is blank.

I have checked document size settings and page size settings and all I can think of and nothing fixes this. I have tried OLDER versions of this form and they NOW exhibit the same problem. I CAN print to pdf a word processor document and it all works fine. I tried to reload/install adobe acrobat AND I re-installed excell and again...same results. I could email an image if that would help.

this forum was recommended by adobe and so I don't know how this works for sure, but I can be contacted at my work email: wsharp [at] ricatitle [dot] com.

This is most baffling and has brought my work flow to stand still. Worse part is, I am one of two guys that keeps our systems running, though I have no formal training.

Hope someone has an idea. The latest "problem" associated with this is I have lost my "pdf writer" print option when selecting printers from the available printer list. SO, I opened Acrobat 6.0 Pro and tried to create a pdf from file and brought up one of my excel files that way and...it also was missing the image as in all other attempts.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks,
Bill Sharp

Hi,
As you indicate you are using the Acrobat 6 product I'd strongly suggest you not use or try to recover "PDF Writer".
Use the "PDFMaker".

Some things to try/lookover:
From your Excel file/template, create a file with "dummy" content. Save it.
Go to Acrobat.com.
If you do not have one, obtain an Adobe ID (you "sign up" and the email address with the password you provide takes care of this).
The "sign up" dialog(s) walk you through this.
Now, once the "sign up" dust has settle you'll go to and sign into acrobat.com. You select "My Files" and in that venue, you upload the Excel file.
Others can download it for "poke and prod".

In Windows, look in the Printers & Faxes. Is Distiller available as a "printer"?
If yes, make it your default. Try printing Excel to PDF.

Look over this Adobe TechNote to see if the information helps resolve the problem.
"Pages blank or missing in PDF file created from Excel workbook with Acrobat product (4.0 or later for Windows)"
