Printing Vertical fonts

We are trying to print to PDF with Pro 8 and it will not work. The document is an MS Access report that has vertical fonts and column headings. Some folks here have not problem.. those are the ones that have never had a Professional copy on their computer. The folks that have been upgraded to V8 can not print this document. We get an error: %%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%%
%%[ Error: rangecheck; OffendingCommand: endcidrange ]%% then a long column of 'stuff' and it ends w/ -mark-

%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

If we remove the vertical type it works fine. How can we make the upgrade version work as the clean install one. I even had IT completely remove my copy and had a clean install done and it did not help. There must be some overlapping settings but I can not figure out how to reset anything.

Are you using the "Create Adobe PDF" button in Access? Are you printing to the Adobe PDF printer? Other??

Please provide more info about OS configuration, Acrobat config, etc.

Or just contact Adobe Technical Support.

Leonard,

Thank you for your response.

I have tried both the 'create' button and the 'Print to PDF' with no difference. I have also noticed that Access is not listed as a program that will print to PDF in the preferences. Is there a way I can add this application? Could that be part of the problem I am having?

Thank you.
