Problem Extracting & Deleting pages

i have Adobe 9.0 on my PC. it's the full blown software, not reader and i've already checked to make sure the document isn't in reader or viewer format; the document i'm working on is also not encrypted or locked in any way.

the document does let me extract and delete by right clicking a page or going through the document tab; but it doesn't recognized the delete comman when i hit the delete key on my physical key board or when i try to select multiple pages via the ctrl or shift button on my keyboard.

any idea as to what caused this problem or how to fix it? Adobe has let me extract & delete via keyboard buttons alot of times before, but when i started on a new job it's effected all the adobe files on my pc.

this also started right after i updated adobe via adobe telling me it needed to be updated.

thanks for any help

It's possible that these PDF files are PDF/A compliant -- you can check this by opening the Standards Navigation panel. If so, then you'll need to turn off the following preference before you can rearrange pages: Edit > Preferences > Documents Categories and select "Never" from the View documents in PDF/A mode.

i've checked what you suggested and the settings were already on "never" for PDF/A mode.

i can also rearrange single pages. my problem is that i can't select multiple pages using "Shift" or "Ctrl" with my keyboard.

This problem is probably related to a bug that was introduced in the 9.4.5 update as detailed in the following post.
