Hi. I am trying to replace a one page from a 5 page .pdf document.
The trouble is that the page I want to replace it with is 25X35 inches or something ridiculous like that compared to the 8.5x11 page I'm replacing.
As far as proportion goes, they are the same. They just won't work together until the replacing page is the proper size. How do you do this?
Use Acrobat to reprint to the desired page size.
File > Print SetupIn the bottom portion of the dialog window, select the desired size and orientation.
The Size drop-down menu contains a generous selection of page sizes.
If you select "PostScript Custom Page Size" or need fonts embedded then click on the Properties button located at the upper right of the dialog box.
Clicking the Properties button opens the Adobe PDF Document Properties dialog.
Look for "Default Settings" - the associated drop-down menu lets you select the desired Distiller job option.
The selected job option is what will process the input and deliver the output.
If you need embedded fonts, look to the 5 check boxes in the lower half of the dialog.
The middle one will have to be unchecked.
To set a custom page size, click on the Paper/Quality tab of the dialog window.
Change the Color option if desired.
Now, at the bottom, click on the Advanced button.
The Adobe PDF Converter Advanced Options dialog opens.
Click on the top right button (Edit Custom Page Size).
The PostScript Page Size Definition dialog opens.
Review your configuration options.
Enter desired Width.
Enter desired Height.
Be sure to click on the OK button.
Then OK > OK > OK
All the dialog boxes are now closed.
Now, to print (File > Print) -
The Print dialog opens.
Click the Advanced button in the lower left of the dialog.
Review the Acrobat Default settings that are displayed.
Customize as needed.
Click OK or Cancel as appropriate.
Back in the Print dialog, click OK.
The print job commences.
The Save PDF File As dialog will provide you the opportunity to change the file name and/or location of the saved file.
Replace the desired page with the new PDF page you've just printed.
