Hello I have an HPC4480 on Windows XP Pro SP3. I am trying to scan a regular A4 paper, so I go to acrobat pro 9, the version that I bought, choose custom scan, and look, I can't even change the settings to size A4. Please help!

Sometimes in Acrobat 8 certain scanners did not report "supported sizes" to Acrobat when "Hide Scanner's Native Interface" is selected in "Scanner Options". You might try to switch the "User Interface" option to "Show Scanner's Native Interface" and select the page size from scanner application to see if this is the case in version 9 too.

Thank you for the reply, but I tried what you mentioned, and still no scanning at A4.

Are you saying that even if you use the HPC4480 interface and adjust the page size there, your PDF doesn't arrive in Acrobat as A4?

What happens when I change the interface to "show native" is nothing much, I don't even have an option to select A4, all there is: "Automatic" kind of bad after I paid a bunch for this program and it doesen't work with my new printer scanner.

Do you see your scanners interface program? Once you switch the setting to show the native interface, you should see the HP program that interfaces with your scanner when you select scan in Acrobat. From the HP program, you should be able to set the page size.
