I have Adobe Acrobat Standard, v 7.1.4. In Windows, I uninstalled a scanner and installed a new one. When I go to to Create PDF from Scanner and click on the drop-down list of scanners, the old scanner is still on the list (so is the new one).

How do I get rid of the old scanner from the drop-down list?

Thanks.

Acrobat Standard 7.1.4, Windows

Try removing the old scanner from the Windows Control Panel Add/Remove Programs.

It isn't listed.

I solved the problem. I found a Canon file on the web called deldrv.exe. http://support-hk.canon-asia.com/index.jsp?fuseaction=support&prod_type=scanner&page=download.I downloaded and ran it. It brings up a list of Canon scanners. I selected my old scanner, clicked on OK, and it deleted the selected driver.

The old scanner is no longer on the Create PDF from scanner drop-down list.

Saving a new custom scanner presets?

I've searched and can't find an answer: I'm using Acrobat 9.2.0 under Windows XPpro and having no troubles. Works great.
Can a new scanner preset be created and saved different than/in addition to the existing presets (Black & White Document, Grayscale Document, Color Documnet, Color Image)?
If not will Adobe add this feature to Acrobat in the future?

Thanks,
Bruce
