Scanning Document in Acrobat 9.0 Reduces Page Size!

When I scan a letter sized document using Acrobat 9.0, it reduces the page size to 8.333 x 10.750. The problem is that I can not enlarge the page back to 8.5 x 11.

In Acrobat 8.0 you could do this by selecting the page and using the crop function to enlarge the page size. However the crop function in 9.0 does not allow you to enlarge the page size and I can not find another function that allows you to either.

This is frustrating! Any help appreciated!

Check your scanner default settings. You may not be scanning in 8 1/2 X 11 format.

What you describe sounds like edge shadow removal.

Quote:
Edge Shadow Removal Removes dark streaks that occur at the edges of scanned pages, where the scanner light is shadowed by the paper edge. Choose Off, Cautious, or Aggressive.
Look over your scan options to see if they actually are what you want.
Some of the defaults, like edge shadow removal, may not be what you what you need/want.
Acrobat Help topic "Scan a paper document to PDF" provides more discussion.
