Shared Glossary

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. I have a set of PDF documents that are all related to each other (cover the same/similar topics), therefore they also have a shared Glossary (another PDF). I am looking for a way to hyperlink terms in the documents to entries in the glossary PDF.

Can anyone suggest a way of doing this? Is there a way to either automatically embed the glossary in each document (dynamically)? We only want to maintain the glossary once.

Many thanks,
Simon

sakemp, hello.

One option:
In the glossary PDF, make a named destination for each term/word.
From the various other PDF files, create bookmark(s) / link(s) to the appropriate named destination.

A tutorial on named destinations and using these as a Bookmark or Acrobat link target:

JavaScript and Named Destinations - some snippets from the AUC forums.
--| Acrobat does not provide a way to automatically create Named Destinations.
--| A plug-in, using Acrobat SDK (C/C++ program skills required) could be made to support automatic creation of Named Destinations.
