Using Acrobat 5.0.5, I created a large (10MB) pdf file from two 5mb JPG color images. The resulting pdf file was 10mb. I could not find any way to shrink or compact the file. I emailed the 10mb file to a friend who was able to shrink it to 425 KB, with no loss of quality, by loading it into Acrobat Ver 6 and printing it to "Adobe PDF" printer. I have no "Adobe PDF" printer on my system is that something that came with Version 6? Is there a way I can do what he was able to do? My Acrobat installation includes a "PDFWriter" printer, but pdf documents cannot be printed using it.
