Hi,

we create PDF's with FO-Renderer Software like FOP and XEP. To decrease file size we use Acrobat distiller with eBook option. After processing the PDF's with distiller the text search in the document does not work anymore. What is the reason?

Use the PDF Optimizer in Acrobat Professional to reduce the file-size. Don't re-distill your PDFs unless you have a very specific reason for doing so.
