I have been using adobe acrobat 6.0 Professional. All of a sudden the program was not reading my pdf files on line. I tried everything. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled. Then I downloaded all the updates to 6.06 (I do not see this version below?)Everything seemed to work fine. The only thing that does not work is when I open word and try and open up a pdf file I am get numbers the file will not open up.I looked at the conversion and it keeps opening in Japanese so i change it to western european windows. The file then turns to 000000 and nothing. If I try and open it on my desktop it opens fine. If I go into computer c: doucments it opens fine. Only when I try and open it through word it does not open. I am using office 2003. Please help me this is driving me crazy.

Hi susieq29,

Are you trying to view PDFs within the Word? If so, Word cannot open the PDFs and you'll see a Word menu that attemps to perform a file conversion on the PDFs with various Text encoding (including Japanese)options.

If you're trying to create a PDF from Word simply use the Adobe PDF menu located within Word.

Hope this helps,
Lori
