Our department is creating PDF documents from Word documents. While the Table of Contents that PDF creates and then displays in the Bookmarks navigation pane work well, the links that we have created in Word are not as exact.
For instance, we hyperlink 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 to specific sections in our Word document and then create a PDF.
1.0 Position
2.0 Class
3.0 Rank
Let's say the user chooses not to use the PDF bookmarks navigation pane and instead chooses to click the links within the document. In this document, 1.0 and 2.0 may work well. However, while 3.0 may take the user to the correct page, it does not take the user to the correct region on the page. (especially if 3.0 appears at the bottom of the page.)
I use PDF Professional's Named Destination feature to make my links more exact. Is there a better way to accomplish this task?
We are using Word 2003, Adobe Acrobat Professional 6.0, and Windows 2000 Professional.
