We have a simple 13-page portfolio (created with Adobe PDFMaker 8.0 for Word) that until 4 weeks ago could be opened and viewed in any browser. I'm only referencing one file but we have considerably more with the same issue. This file has not been modified since Nov 2010.
Now this portfolio only shows the first page inside Window IE. But if you download the file to your local directory all the pages appear including navigation. This same file works perfectly inside FoxPro (haven't tried another browser).
We are thinking security issues. Does anyone know of any patches that MicroSoft has released that could cause this issue? Is there a way of resolving the problem?
To see for yourself, you can go to our web page:
http://www.london.ca/d.aspx?s=/ess_manual/Environmental Standards and Specifications Manual/Section B - Part 2 - Sewer and Water/const_standards.htm
The portfolio is the link labeled "Specifications - Sewer and Water".
Thanks for any assistance!
I've just tried the file using Adobe Reader X and Adobe Acrobat X inside IE 7 on Windows XP and IE9 on Windows 7, and the member files work fine (the layout of the page is messy as Acrobat X doesn't fully respect the earlier versions of packages, but I can move between them, view all the pages in each one, etc.)
