Cover page shows up when reading a portfolio using Acrobat 9

I have created a number of portfolio's using Acrobat 9 pro extended. When I open them by clicking on them, they open as expected. If I access them 'indirectly' via a menu button from another pdf though - I get the cover sheet first (the one that says this pdf is best viewed with acrobat 9 or greater).

That is, I have another pdf file that is a single page with several menu buttons - each of which is linked to a different portfolio. If I open my portfolio's by clicking on the menu button, the portfolio starts off with a cover page (suggesting the user should use acrobat 9 - which is what is already being used). How do I stop telling a user of acrobat 9 that he should upgrade to acrobat 9?

Is this an Acrobat bug or can I control this?

The files were created (and are opened with) acrobat 9.3.2

Thanks,

Ken

It's a bug. I've already filed a bug report. Unfortunately, I haven't found a work around.
