Once you have created a portfolio in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 - can you make one PDF out of the whole portfolio?

But, a Portfolio is one PDF, eh?

The component files in the Portfolio, like parts of a cell, are enclosed the the Flash "membrane" that makes the PDF a "Portfolio" as opposed to a "Package" provided by Acrobat 8.

Being fairly new to Acrobat - I am afraid that I am not sure if your answer constitutes a yes or no to my question. I am assuming it is a no, is that correct?

Can a single PDF file, containing the content of a Portfolio's collected contents be made?
Yes, but....
You'd not have the attributes/characteristics of a "Portfolio".

A couple of approaches to making the 'singlefile.pdf' -

You could park each of the files that might be in a Portfolio into a dedicated directory/folder.
Open one, save as to a desired filename.
Use the 'Insert' command to start inserting the collected files into the "singlefile.pdf".
Those files that were not already PDF would have to be converted to PDF.
(Various ways this can be done).

Alternatively, the individual files might be processed into a single PDF using the
Combine > Merge Files into a Single PDF.Be well...

Actually, I have the same problem. A portfolio is not the same as a single PDF. If any document in a portfolio has attachments and you try to print the portfolio, the attachments do not print after the document to which they are attached, which is a benefit of a single PDF. However, if, for example you want to convert multiple Outlook e-mails, some with attachments, quickly to PDF, a portfolio is the only way to do so. So, first you must convert all to a portfolio, and then I'd like to convert the portfolio to a single PDF. Not sure how to do this with out buying the plug-in, AutoPortfolio. Any advice?
